Originally from Fayetteville, Emily graduated from FM High School in 2020 before heading to the University of Vermont, where she studied English, Film & Television. While in Vermont, she also discovered a love for early childhood education and spent two years teaching Pre-K.
After moving back to Syracuse to be closer to family, Emily found Blue Prints in a special way—through her dog, Daisy Mae, who first came to the facility as a daycare pup. Daisy Mae is a 2 year old a Pit Bull–Staffordshire Terrier mix who only has one ear but what she lacks in ears she makes up for in zest for life.
In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new places with Daisy Mae, and settling in with a good book. Looking ahead, Emily plans to return to school to pursue a master’s degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling. Currently, working at Blue Prints allows her to combine her love of animals with her passion for care, connection, and helping others!
