Drop Off Training

Drop Off | Training

Drop off training offers clients a complete, all-in-one option that is customized to fit your dog’s long-term needs. We pair drop off training with individual private sessions to ensure consistent communication between owner and dog. Creating consistent training between the trainer and all parties involved with the dog will help progress behaviors and build confidence in the dog.

They are 1-2 hour sessions that are prescheduled for 1-3 times a week. Duration can be anywhere from 2 weeks to 8 weeks or more depending on frequency, availability, and training goals. Each session is specifically tailored by a certified trainer. You drop  your dog off to our facility and pick them back up at the prescheduled times. At pick up, the trainer will relay what was worked on during that time period, and what should be continued at home to see progress. Included in most series of sessions are:

  • A copy of our Canine Behavior History Form filled out by the owner to get a complete idea of
your dog’s history and current needs
  • Teaching and implementation of Basic Obedience cues
  • Teaching and implementation of behaviors discussed in the consultation
  • Supervised socialization with other dogs and people (if applicable)
  • 15-minute Q&A at the beginning or end of each session
  • Summary and recommended follow-up plan e-mailed after each session

Prerequisite: Drop off training must be paired with a Group Class or Private Training Session

We typically recommend 90-120 minutes a day, 1-3 times a week

Training Packages Information Sheet

Drop Off | Socialization

Drop off training for socialization offers a service to customers whose dog did not pass the interview for daycare, or are generally having trouble with their dog socializing outside of our facility. A certified trainer hand picks dogs from our daycare group available that day who will be good examples, match ups, etc. for your dog to learn from. During our time with them, we make positive associations with dog-to-dog interactions and give a verbal recap of how the session went upon pick up.

For some dogs, this time teaches them better social skills that can help them with their transition to daycare or improve dog-to-dog interactions in general. For other dogs, if there are no improvements in social interactions with different types of dogs after multiple sessions, the trainer will help determine what dogs are most likely going to be the best match ups to help owners at home!

Prerequisite: Interview, Consultation, and/or previous Private Session

Off-Site Training

This training option allows a certified trainer to work one-on-one with your dog outside of the facility. They can either work with your dog inside your home or bring them to public places such as a parks, stores, or different neighborhoods. This allows the trainer to build on previously established behaviors in settings that are applicable to the dog’s every day life.

As with Drop Off Training, the trainer will keep you updated with a verbal summary and/or videos so the training can be continued by the client.

Off Site Training is only available to clients who have completed multiple Private Training Sessions or Drop Off Training Sessions, and the trainer has established a trusted relationship with the dog.
