The most critical developmental period happens between 8 and 16 weeks of age. Puppies offer us an opportunity to shape behavior that lasts a lifetime.
All puppy training focuses on socialization, house training, bite inhibition, and an introduction to all basic behavior cues. The main focus of all our puppy training is to expose your pup to a variety of people, places, and things.
Blue Prints follows proven methods for puppy training established by top experts such as Dr. Ian Dunbar. Our top priority is to help our clients bond with their new pet and raise a good dog. As with all our training, positive reinforcement is used throughout the puppy programming and continues into classes designed for their future growth.
Puppy Kindergarten – Weekly Series (8-18 weeks)
Teach your puppy good manners from the start! This class will focus on proper socialization along with tips about the basics of working with your puppy at home. Topics include bite inhibition, jumping, potty training, recall, loose leash walking, grooming, resource guarding, and more! The puppies will socialize with other puppies/people off leash while a certified trainer describes different dog behaviors and what to be aware of during play.
Our Puppy Kindergarten class focuses on puppies 8-18 weeks of age, but can accommodate puppies up to 20 weeks if needed. Blue Prints classes accept puppies as early as 8 weeks. Please alert our staff if you plan to attend with a puppy over 18 weeks. Our primary goal is to ensure your puppy is in a safe pack and a clean environment.
