Our Leader

Erin is a 1996, SUNY ESF graduate. A native of Long Island, Erin, along with her husband Doug, made Syracuse their home. After 5 years as an animal keeper at the Rosmaond Gifford Zoo, Erin left the zoo and joined a veterinary technician who had a vision of a positive reinforcement training facility that included doggie daycare. In 2003, "Blue Prints" changed hands, and was owned by the current training coordinator, Melissa Spicer. Erin returned to Blue Prints to work with Melissa and was instrumental in the future growth of the facility. In 2006 Erin purchased the business from Melissa and has since taken Blue Prints to a new level of success. Erin's newest "venture" has been to become certified in Pilates and in her spare time, teaches Mat 1 classes in Cicero. Erin's hope is to provide, safe, innovative and fun services to her Blue Prints clients...

Guiness, Erin's canine companion was and still is a huge part of Blueprints. Please visit Guiness' Memorial Page for her inspiring story. In Honor of Guiness

Krista has always loved dogs.
Growing up in Syracuse, she used to spend hours memorizing her dog encyclopedia. Her family first rescued a mix breed, and eventually they fell in love with an American Pitbull Terrier. Krista has always had an interest in animal psychology as it pertains to human psychology. For her, working at BP is like a dream come true- she plans to use her newly acquired skills and knowledge to someday own her own shelter.
