Dear Valued Customer,
I hope this letter finds you in the holiday spirit. Before the craziness continues with the upcoming holidays, I would like to take this opportunity to inform you of some changes that have been occurring at Blue Prints Dog Studio. Many of you have seen the on-going construction taking place in the lobby. A new door has been added to allow improved employee access and to facilitate our dog walking program. New windows have also been added to allow for an increase in natural lighting as well as better energy efficiency.
One of the largest changes has yet to occur, beginning on November 1st, 2011. The grooming portion of Blue Prints has been sold to Jackie Foster. But have no fear, it is indeed the same Jackie that you already know and that has been grooming your dog for the last 8 years. She is extremely talented and has played a large role in Blue Prints' success and she will be missed. The good news is she's not going far! Her new business adventure will be called The Pink Pug and will be housed adjacent to Blue Prints in the newly renovated area that was formerly the consignment store.
What does this mean for daycare customers that used to also utilize the grooming service? The following explanation should help clarify things:
1. Grooming appointments, including nail trims, will now be booked directly through Jackie at The Pink Pug (214-5166).
2. If you would prefer to send your dog to daycare on the day of grooming, you still can, and it is as convenient as always. An appointment will need to be scheduled with Blue Prints and Jackie will come over and pull them out for the scheduled grooming. If you would prefer that your dog does not get returned to daycare after grooming, please coordinate that with Jackie.
3. Blue Prints Dog Studio and The Pink Pug are two independently functioning businesses and are not affiliated with each other. All payments for grooming service will be paid directly to The Pink Pug.
4. For current daycare customers, existing payment options will continue to be accepted and current contracts are still intact. However, at this time, The Pink Pug will be accepting cash or checks and new grooming specific contracts will need to be reviewed and signed.
I would like to thank Jackie for her years of service and wish her all the best in her new business!
How will this affect Blue Prints Dog Studio service going forward? Read on as I explain....
Blue Prints Dog Studio has always been and will continue to be a facility that strongly believes that proper socialization and positive reinforcement training principles shape long lasting and beneficial behaviors in dogs. Moving forward based on these beliefs, our daycare program and training programs will be improved.
The additional space that will be freed up will allow the opportunity for a growth in the training portion of Blue Prints. New classes and monthly seminars will focus on various topics pertaining to important behavioral modification and training topics. Information including class descriptions, dates and times will be listed on our website. Training classes including Beginner Obedience and Intermediate classes are being revamped along with an additional class offering of Advance Obedience.
This is also great news for dogs that currently come to daycare that may require a little more training, but have a hard time fitting a structured class into their schedule. Opportunities will now be available to have training be performed while at daycare. A trainer will be able to work with your dog in a separate area of the facility. When you arrive to pick up at the end of the day, the trainer will review what modifications were worked on and homework will be passed out for some additional "individualized attention" in the home setting. These additional services and pricing will also be listed on our website.
A few final reminders pertaining to safety and general guidelines please remember to:
1. Bring your dog in on a 6 foot leash or less. This aids in control of their behavior and safe entry into the daycare
2. Make sure that you complete the re-interview process if you have not visited us within a 30 day time period. Appointments need to be scheduled and completed PRIOR to re-introduction into daycare
3. Allow your dog ample time to potty outside, across the driveway. Please do not allow them to go on the building or safety cones.
I thank you for your loyalty and dedication. As always, if you have any questions pertaining to any of these changes, feel free to contact me at 446-2070 or via email info@blueprintsdogstudio.com.
Best Regards,
Erin McDonald, Owner
